The long-awaited moment has arrived! We invite you to enjoy Cancun in the best way possible by running the 10K, Half Marathon or Marathon on Saturday, December 5, 2026. The race begins at sunset!

Important notes about the Age Group:                                                                      

• The Age Group will be determined by the competitor´s age on the day of the event (December 5, 2026).

• To participate in the Marathon, competitors must be at least 18 years old on the day of the event.

• To participate in the Half Marathon and 10K race, competitors must be at least 15 years old on the day of the event.

• Participants under the age of 18 must present a birth certificate or school ID to verify their age.

Cancun Marathon has the endorsement of Mundo de Atletismo en México A.C.

Awards

Prize Purse $250,000 MXN!

Marathon Awards

The following prize money will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in the Marathon in both the male and female categories: The official results will be in accordance with the Official Time.

• 1st. Place: $60,000.00 MX plus trophy

• 2nd. Place: $30,000.00 MX plus trophy

• 3rd. Place: $15,000.00 MX plus trophy

Note – Based on the current regulations of the Mundo de Atletismo en Mexico, 7% (national runners) and 14% (foreign runners) of the prize money will be withheld from the winning runners to be delivered to said Federation; as well as 1% of the Federal ISR and 6% of the Local ISR in accordance with the Tax Law in Mexico.

Marathon Awards Age Groups

The Top 3 finishers in each Age Group category of the marathon will be awarded with a trophy, according to the Official Time.

IMPORTANT:

• There will be no duplicate awards. The overall Marathon winners will be awarded as such and will therefore no be eligible for awards in their age group category.

• And so, winners in the age group categories will be awarded as such and will therefore not be eligible for the special award for best Cancun resident.

Half Marathon and 10K Awards

The Top 3 finishers in Age Group categories, Wheelchar division and Visually impaired of Half Marathon and 10K Race will be awarded with a trophy, according to the Official Time.

Marathon Award for the Top Cancun native resident

The male and female runner born and residing in Cancun, Quintana Roo (official documentation will be verified), who register the best Official Time in the Marathon distance (42.195 km), will be recognized with a special prize of $20,000.00 (Twenty thousand pesos 00/100 M.N.).

IMPORTANT:

• And so, winners in the age group categories will be awarded as such and will therefore not be eligible for the special award for best Cancun resident.
